As and from 29 April 2016, every Contract for Sale of Land, which relates to a property where there is a swimming pool, must have a Certificate showing whether or not the pool is compliant with the Swimming Pools Act 1992.
If your property contains a swimming pool or spa, you must provide us with the following:
- Certificate of Compliance Certificate; OR
- Certificate of Registration and Certificate of Occupation.
A Certificate of Compliance is issued by your Local Council (or a registered certifier) and is valid for three (3) years from the date of issue.
If however such a Certificate of Compliance is not possible (or not available), then you must provide a Certificate of Non-Compliance which will impose obligations on the Purchaser. This Certificate is valid for a period of one (1) year from the date of issue.
